This was a fun race, so I didn't formally train for it.


Pre-race

  • Race Package: Pickup was swift and there was good swag too.

  • Sleep: Cannot recall.
  • Breakfast: Eggs, oatmeal, and a banana.
  • Travel to the Start Line: 5 minutes bike ride.
  • Strategy: Go hard.

This race is just down the road from my house, so it was great to sleep in a bit and not be rushing out the door.

All the distances started at the same time. I started a little too far back and found myself stuck in traffic for the first kilometer. Once traffic cleared up, I gave'r.

Not much to share about this one - partly because I can't remember. I can recall feeling surprised with finishing 10th overall - it was a confidence booster.
